Storm Chaser Partners

Drew Brummel

Hey everyone! I am 21 years old, I have been storm chasing for 5 years mainly in Michigan. When I am not chasing storms, I am busy studying Meteorology at Central Michigan University or playing soccer, hanging with family or friends, or helping out at church.

Ben Richmond

My name is Benjamin Richmond and I have been storm chasing since 2020 and have been passionate about weather since I was 8 years old. Chasing is a passion of mine because I love to see the beauty of the weather, traveling, as well as being able to help warn and assist the community. Outside of chasing I am a schoolteacher and am heavily involved with my church.

Kristina Turchi

Hello everyone, my name is Kristina Turchi and I am 34 years old. I have always had a love for weather, stars, and nature. My father played a huge role into my love for all 3. We would go out and stare up at the sky all the time, and he would tell me all about everything he knew. After my father passed away, I stopped looking to the sky for quite a while, but I just recently started getting back into chasing and joined Michigan Storm Chasers, and couldn’t be happier.

Cody Reynolds

I’m Cody Reynolds, and since 2008, I’ve been chasing storms all across the Midwest, driven by a passion for severe weather and a commitment to public safety. By partnering with Michigan Storm Chasers (MSC) and reporting directly to the National Weather Service, I help provide the on-the-ground data needed to issue timely warnings, giving communities valuable lead time when severe weather strikes.

Chris Mundy

Hey everyone, my name is Chris Mundy. I have been interested in weather for as long as I can remember. I have been chasing storms on and off since I could drive, and I have seen two tornadoes. The first one was in 2003 when it dropped out of nowhere about 20 yards from me. The second one was in 2015 in Millington, Tennessee. When I'm not chasing storms, I am an avid outdoorsman and off-road enthusiast. I work for Verizon Wireless. I was born and raised in southeast Michigan.

Morgan Kinzer

Hi, I’m Morgan! Born and raised in West Michigan and I have been chasing for almost 10 years. In my free time you can find me tending to my houseplants, reading, spending time with my kids or finding some other project around the house that will never get finished. I am a lifestyle and portrait photographer and I’m excited to expand more into weather photography.

Mike Laslo

Growing up, I was always captivated by storms, thunder, and the force of nature they brought with them. I witnessed my first tornado when I was about eight years old. I’ve been lucky enough to witness around eight tornadoes—a testament to the chase and the unpredictability of Mother Nature. I was a volunteer firefighter and EMS provider for about ten years while living in Maryland. My experience with emergency services taught me the value of preparedness and resilience, and I still carry these lessons with me today. I am a United States Coast Guard veteran, where I served from 2001 to 2005. Outside of storm chasing, I have a number of hobbies that keep me connected to the outdoors and adventure.

Michael Gagnon

I am a retired police officer, certified firefighter, HazMat specialist, medical first responder, and ordained minister, who has spent decades serving others—both on the front lines of law enforcement and in the field of storm chasing. With a lifelong fascination with extreme weather, I combine a vast range of professional training and experience to pursue severe weather events with a focus on safety, education, and real-time storm analysis. Beyond solo storm chasing, I enjoy spending time chasing storms with my son, capturing stunning photography and videos of weather phenomena, and appreciating the beauty of nature.

Jason Wood

It could be a severe storm in May, a wind storm in October, or a snowstorm in January. Weather just gets my adrenaline pumping. As soon as I got my driver’s license I hit the road to chase the next storm and have never looked back. Also a mental health author, speaker, and advocate, I stay busy sharing stories of the storms I’ve faced and the ones I chase! After growing up in the Chicago area and then living around the country, my husband and I are happy to now call Southwest Michigan home.

Trisha Dominguez

I’m a weather enthusiast 'nerd', having tracked severe storms, floods, blizzards, and more across MI, ND, SD, and MN. With 13 challenging winters in North Dakota, I’ve faced a range of extreme weather—and -40 without the wind-chill is no joke! My passion for meteorology and ultimately storm chasing was solidified by the May 30, 1998 derecho. I graduated with a degree in meteorology from Central Michigan University in 2004 and I am dedicated to the continued understanding of severe weather dynamics and supporting those affected by it.

Joshua Isaac

I’ve always reveled in the thrill and amazement of a good storm. My chasing began in 2014 when I joined Superior Search and Rescue, and also became a storm spotter. I expanded on this in 2020, when I was a Forester and Wild-land Firefighter with Oklahoma Forestry Services, where I also experienced my first tornado.

Matt Homer

I’m an experienced armed security officer with a keen dedication to community safety, I began storm chasing in 2010 after a tornado struck close to home. Since then, I've pursued a deep understanding of severe weather patterns to help recognize early warning signs and provide timely alerts. Married and a proud father, I'm committed to safeguarding both my family and community, whether it's through my professional work or my passion for storm tracking.

Tyler Maynard

I’ve been a weather enthusiast since I was a kid and have actively been chasing for one year. Outside of storm chasing I am a youth pastor at the life church in Warren and I work with special needs individuals.

Aaron Snoeyink

Hey guys, I'm Aaron. I have been chasing storms for 15 years. Aside from chasing storms, my interests include spending time with the family, sports, concerts, and anything outdoors.

Brandon Munson

Born in Mid-Michigan and grew up in Davison. Moved to Missouri in 2007 where I fell in love with storm chasing. Helped to create the first local weather page in the Branson area and I am proud to say that that page is still up and running with 20k followers locally and nationally. I have been featured on many news outlets as well as internationally for my coverage of the 1000 year floods in Branson back in 2016. I am an avid Detroit sports fan, proud father of 3 amazing children, and I’m currently living in Deckerville.

Nick Krietz

Hello everybody! I am Nick Krietz and I've been chasing storms ever since the December 2018 outbreak in IL and ever since then I have learned and observed a lot since then. My goal is to learn how strong storms behave in an environment where they can become explosive or why they can’t in some situations. A little about me, I am a huge Chicago sports and NASCAR fanatic. I live with my soon to be wife and two dogs in the SW MI area.
