Apps We Use to Storm Chase
Radarscope
RadarScope is our go-to radar app. With plans at $9.99/year, $99.99/year, or $29.99 for desktop, it provides powerful tools to track storm behavior in real time. It also integrates with Spotter Network, letting you view our location—and yours—if you join as a spotter.
Satsquatch
Satsquatch is a satellite app that we use to monitor storm development and different features that only satellite can provide us with.
Radar Omega
This is a newer and up and coming radar app. It provides multiple different tools to use to track radar, and also has live chaser options so you can see where people are under storms. It can be connected to live feeds of what they’re chasing as well.
We use Twitter to quickly connect with chaser groups, share storm updates, damage reports, and photos. We also maintain direct lines with nearby NWS offices, giving them eyes under the storm. It’s the fastest way to deliver accurate, real-time information to a wide audience.
Always monitor your local news stations and National Weather Service Office for up to the minute weather coverage as well!!
